Holiday Cottage Reviews for 1 Dolgoch Holiday Cottages

1 Dolgoch Holiday Cottages, 1 Dolgoch Cottages, Dolgoch Falls, Bryncrug, Tywyn, Gwynedd, LL36 9UW

Description of the self catering

This gorgeous holiday cottage is situated within some of the most beautiful views you can find in Mid Wales. Directly adjacent to Dolgoch Falls, it is a popular attraction for visitors from all over the world. Our holiday cottage is available all year round and located at the end of a bank of terraced cottages, farthest from the public footpath that provides access to the beautiful walks up the falls. Because we are at the end of the terrace, there is no access past our frontage meaning it is the most peaceful of the group. Directly behind the holiday cottage is one of the paths you can take up the mountains where there are obviously the falls, but also the caves and Talyllyn Steam Railway that can take you into Tywyn town. To the side of the cottage is an elevated view of a farmer’s field which is normally grazed with sheep and then from the front is an excellent view of the valley itself.

Best Features

The holiday cottage is situated in the Talyllyn (Tal - Y - Llyn) valley which descends from the Cader Idris Range of mountains to the sea. We are a hop skip and a jump from Dolgoch Falls which is a popular attraction in the area. Situated in the Snowdonia National Park, the property is surrounded by unspoilt countryside which boasts natural beauty and breathtaking scenery with a network of paths allowing visitors to enjoy the rural surroundings.

Within easy reach of the pleasant and popular village of Abergynolwyn which offers a range of amenities and services to include a Public House with Restaurant, Village Hall with Café and Post Office. The seaside town of Tywyn is located within easy travelling distance and offers a good range of shops and services.

There are a range of amenities and recreational facilities nearby to include the Talyllyn Lake and glacial View from the side of the accommodationvalleys, the sandy beaches of the Cardigan Bay Coast, the Harbour village of Aberdyfi with its renowned Championship 18 hole golf course, and the many recreational facilities in the locality. This is an ideal base to explore the surrounding mountains of Cader Idris, Snowdonia and the breathtaking views and scenic walks within the surrounding Dysynni valley. The property is ideally located for all steam Railway enthusiasts as the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway which runs from Tywyn to Abergynolwyn has a halt at Dolgoch, a short walk from the property.
