We rented this cottage through English Country Cottages/Cottage4you for a weekend for my husband’s birthday in November.2009 with our 6 year-old daughter. However we stayed there only one night as, on the first night, we were not able to enter the cottage and were unable to contact the owner as there is no reception in that area. It is not mentioned in its description that the driveway is hazardous in rainy weather. Furthermore, there are no cooking facilities available in the cottage, nor heating in the bedrooms. One week prior our holiday we were advised to send £100 deposit to the owner to cover oil and electricity costs, the balance to be refunded to us within 7 days of the end of our holiday. The £100 was deducted from our account 2-3 days after our holiday and, after one month, has still not been refunded. We have contacted the owners three times regarding this issue and Cottage4you/English Country Cottages.
