Description of the cottage holiday
Zig Zag is a traditional, light-filled cottage set over four floors, perfectly located for exploring the beaches and attractions of St Ives.
Internally, the property has two airy bedrooms with the master bedroom offering views of the harbour front. Externally, the property is located on a street full of character and charm, just a stone’s throw from glorious sandy beaches.
The Downalong area of St Ives is popular with holiday makers due to its abundance of fishermen's cottages which line the cobbled streets and its close proximity to the three main beaches of St. Ives: Porthgwidden - a smaller family beach just 30 seconds from the house; Porthmeor – offering rock pools and popular for water sports such as surfing; and, Harbour beach – a soft sandy beach sheltered from prevailing winds by the thick harbour walls.
St Ives is a beautiful town with award-winning golden sands and clear sea, narrow streets and lanes, galleries and craft shops alongside modern restaurants and cafes. The bustling harbour is home to many fishing boats that bring in quality catches of local fish that you will find in many of the restaurants.
