Description of the holiday cottage

Withy Barn is a 3 bedroom holiday cottage near Helston on the Lizard with one double, one single and one twin bedrrom that sleeps 5 people. Withy Barn is dog and child friendly, a typical Lizrd cottage made from the local stone and in a great place for exploring the rugged south and west of Cornwall. Withy Barn is one and a half miles from Helston, in the tiny hamlet of Coverack Bridges (golf club restaurant/bar), a sturdy stone cottage converted from an 1840s barn. Behind, small sitting-out area, part-covered (table/chairs) and, across the lane, steps down to own large lawned garden (table/chairs, barbecue), beautifully green and restful with tropical vegetation and the river Cober tumbling past to the sea at Porthleven (fishing harbour, boat trips, galleries). The tree-lined river bank is unfenced, so supervised children can paddle; you may hear leaping trout splash. Store (washer-drier, freezer) for your wetsuits/beach gear etc. From the lane outside Withy Barn there is a front door to hall and three smart bedrooms with travertine-tiled floors (rugs) indluding a double, a twin bedroom and a single (hooks for clothes-hanging). Bathroom (suite, shower over bath); loo. Upstairs (stairgates), spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, small microwave, larder fridge, cooker with induction hob) with granite worktops, high apex beams, wood floor (rug), woodburner, TV/DVD/PVR, iPod dock and stable doors to sitting-out area. Shop and pub, 1 mile. A relaxing place, smartly done; lovely beaches and walks in the area.
