Cottage Review:

Firstly, the location is excellent with a fantastic view of Bamburgh Castle and an easy walk to the beach.

However, the property is not suitable for 5 people and access to the bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms is hindered by the sloping ceilings and doors that open the wrong way.

The sloping ceilings also restrict the height of the beds, so these are very low to accommodate headboards.

Upon arrival the property was not very clean. Indeed, the table looked as though someone had eaten their lunchtime pasta off the table.

There are clearly some plumbing issues as 2 of the toilets had flushing mechanism issues where they were running constantly. In addition, there was a constant bad smell from the drains.

The kitchen was stocked with a weird mix of pans that ranged from the smallest frying pan I've ever seen to a saucepan that clearly started life in an industrial kitchen.

The property has clearly been built in the garden of the neighbouring cottage and it's a shame that an extra meter couldn't have been added to the footprint as this would have made a significant difference to the internal space.

As previously mentioned, this is not suitable for 5 people, there were 3 of us and it was not particularly spacious.

Maintenance is a real issue and overall, this property needs some money spending to keep it up to date.

Not worth the money and we won't be returning.

Not recommended.
