| Cottage Review:
We have stayed here for the last few years and each year it has been getting worse. This year we paid well over £2000 for May half term week which is the week we always have and this year there was dirt, dust cobwebs spiders and even mice which when I phoned sykes they just said we will send the housekeeper up no apology or anything. A man turned up who said he was th housekeeper with a trap and admitted they had a mouse problem as they have chewed through the dishwasher pipe before but does not know how they get in not very happy with his response especially as we had young grandchildren with us. The mattresses were stained and loads of other problems which are too many to list and all sykes told us was the owners would give us back £240 which we took but were disgusted with such a feeble amount with what we had paid and the state of the property and maintenance and having been very ill was very upset with the house this year and things still have not been rectified that have been complained about each year |

| Cottage Review:
This property is in desperate need of some TLC, upgrades and repairs. Promotional photos on Sykes cottages website are not the reality of what you get with this accommodation. We paid a premium price as we expected to, for a Christmas week rental, however we were extremely disappointed with the standard of the facilities and the cleanliness of the property. This is not a premium rental; this is only 1 star at best and that rating is based purely on its fabulous location.
