Cottage Review:
We had a great wee break here. The hut was comfy, secure, peaceful and with decent parking. After all the walking we slept like babes in the comfortable bunks. The wood burning stove gave off plenty of heat. The added bonus were the fancy chickens who provided endless entertainment. Haltwhistle is a friendly town with ample shops and pubs. Hats off to Hadrian for having the foresight in building the wall and cheering us up during Covid. |

Cottage Review:
My adult son and I stayed here for a week, with my dog, while walking Hadrian's Wall. The property was well-located next to a field by a stream, on the edge of town; a quiet and relaxing spot. It was little more than five minutes walk into the centre of town with its bus and rail connections. Although small, the property was thoughtfully equipped, well-maintained and it suited us well. It was clean and comfortable and just right for two of us to relax in after a day's walking. It may have been a little tight had we been three people, however. |
