Cottage Review:

Just enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at Throstle Hall cottage. The cottage is superb in every way. There was was everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, and there was a separate utility room with washing machine and a large fridge freezer. The views from the living room were amazing, right over as far as the Yorkshire Dales, and you can see Pendle hill very clearly. We had a meal in the nearby village of Barley at the Pendle inn. Great food and service. There are 2 pubs in the village, both were excellent.

There is so much to do in this area. We visited Clitheroe on Saturday. A quaint little market town about 4 miles away. Sunday we went to Lancaster Castle. Learnt about the Lancashire witches. An amazing story. Monday we stayed home and enjoyed the fabulous house and views.

Thank you Karen for making our stay so enjoyable in your beautiful house. Cannot wait to come again

Fabulous cottage in remote setting, not for people who like street lights brightening the place. Lovely rooms and the views are spectacular. The access track is driveable but you need to be sensible

Cottage Review:

Fine cottage, pity about the access which is down a very steep track, through a field not owned by the cottage owners, so very hard to get up. OK if you are a 4*4 owner.
