The Shepherds Hut at Bridge Lake Farm & Fishery, Bridge Lake Farm, Wardington Road, Chacombe, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX17 2JU

My partner and I have just come back from 3 nights away at this gorgeous Shephards Hut and we couldn?t have had a better time!

Brendan is a great host who greeted us as we pulled up, he took us to our cabin on a golf buggy (saved us lugging all of the other half?s fishing stuff) and the hot tub was already heated ready for us.

From al fresco dining to fishing in our own pond, this place has everything to offer.

We saw baby deer, crayfish, a million squirrels, four friendly alpacas amongst all other wild life that would make any cosy country retreat feel special. We seldom saw the other guests as all of the lodges are places so perfectly to protect everyone?s privacy. The shower has a good pressure, there are logs on site to keep for your hot tub/bbq and you?re only a 10 minute walk from the pub. The kitchen is fully decked out with anything that you would need to cook three meals a day including a toaster, kettle, induction hobs and all necessary crockery, bowls, sauce pans, mixing bowl - the lot!

We?ll be back to catch some crayfish in the pond and throw them on the bbq!

If you are looking to relax for a weekend or a week(s) holiday we highly recommend you stay here. Me and my partner loved our stay within the beautifully lodge and the scenery to go with it! The team were exceptionally helpful from the beginning and made they stay even more enjoyable.

We will definitely be returning some time in the future.

Myself and my partner have stayed at the Stepherds Hut at Bridge Lake Farm & Fishery from Friday until Sunday. We wanted a relaxing stay and that is exactly what we got. From when we arrived to when we left, Brendon ( owner ) was very helpful, welcoming and a great host. Anything that we needed or asked for he was there within minutes. The lodge was absolutely beautiful, great facilities and cleanliness. Overlooking the lake, very peaceful and quiet area. Hot tub was easy to use and easy to set up. We loved everything about our stay and we will definitely be returning.

If you are looking for a uncomplicated peaceful break then this is the place for you!

The lodge itself was clean well presented and equipped. We were even asked if we would like the hot tub warmed up before our arrival. There are many shops and restaurants less than 15 minutes away by car but when we were sitting around the lake we couldn't feel further away from the hustle and bustle.

Brendan our wonderful caretaker was on hand for anything we might need during our week and made sure that we were happy until the very last moment of our stay.

There is nothing that hasn?t been thought about at this beautiful spot!! Impeccably clean, beautiful peaceful location stunning views, you will want for nothing and the host is always at the end of the phone if you need him? cannot wait to return soon and will definitely book The Shepards Hut!! 5* plus!!
