| Cottage Review:
I was disappointed with Sykes Cottages as they automatically took the balance of my holiday payment from my account without my consent despite the fact I had set myself a reminder. I wasn't impressed. Port Isaac is an amazing place to stay but there are very few eating places. The cottage is pretty but the standard wasn't as high as I expected for the price. The car park is a 15minute walk uphill from the cottage. There is no car access to the cottage-horrible in wet weather. The beds were extremely comfortable but the sofa wasn't. The water pressure in both showers was very low, in the kitchen it was fine. There were things missing from the kitchen, no table mats & the table has a plastic cloth, no sieve or colander, no washing up bowl or drainer, only 5 normal sized mugs yet the cottage sleeps 6, no mats in the bedrooms just hard wooden floors & no hanging space in the single bedrooms. My Dad is 83 years old & the cottage does not cater for the elderly. |
