A simply stunning property. Beautiful views, excellent facilities and an extremely helpful and polite owner. One of the finest beaches I have ever been to just a 10 - 15 minute walk away.

Could not recommend this place more - have already booked to go back!

Just returned from the beautiful Lodge@Shirewater. So glad we ignored the comments of the first reviewer as we might have missed a wonderful holiday experience. The owners have created a unique and luxurious holiday home with thoughtful attention to every detail. We enjoyed the cottage so much that we ate in most evenings, enjoying the view as the last light faded over the sea in the distance. There are several great walks right on the doorstep and beautiful beaches to explore - some within walking distance. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage and intend to return there soon.

Just what the doctor ordered - a most restful stay in a beautiful cottage in the most elegant and tranquil of settings!Gorgeously styled interior, real top notch accommodation, everything thought of - felt really pampered. Next to the owner's house but not a problem as we only saw them once and they were very friendly anyway. And we loved the Northumberland coast - great walks, great castles and beaches. A first class break!

at £845.00 for a week this property is overpriced for what it is.We were expecting luxury for that price.

The garden, although pretty is not private.Owner walks to and from greenhouse in the garden.we didn\'t feel we had privacy.owner knocked on our door one day to tell us we\'d left the outside light on.Felt like we were being watched.polyester bedding and grubby towels and watered down hand lotion.Not what we expected for the price we paid
