| Cottage Review:
Booked for family to attend a funeral. Property hidden behind gates so difficult to find when we arrived at 5am, there's no sign! The beds aren't fit for purpose. All 5 of us wanted to immediately leave but couldn't due to having nowhere else to go at that time in the morning. Owners were abroad so weren't contactable. We all slept on top of the duvets to provide some protection from the springs and discomfort of the beds, our coats and jackets were used to provide some warmth. We considered sleeping on the "leather" couch but, not being leather, we either slid on it or stuck to it. The home has so much potential but it's very much "fur coat, no knickers". The owners have refused any partial refund despite us leaving as soon after the funeral as possible, we'd paid for 4 days. They've had other complaints about the mattresses but only thanked us for our feedback and advised us they'll consider buying toppers. We didn't use the kitchen or tv etc. There is only parking for 2 cars. The advert for the property doesn't mention the caravan that's in use and parked at the front door of the property |
