Cottage Review:

An comfortable cottage/apartment, with kitchen on the ground floor and bathroom, living room and bedroom on the first floor reached by a spiral staircase. The kitchen is generally well equipped with a good cooker and fridge freezer and although the basis are all there, it would benefit from a tea cosy, a pair of sharp (steak type) knives for cutting meat and some better quality cutlery that does not bend when used. The bed is large and comfy, although with a heavy mattress, so making it is a bit more of an effort than it need to be. The living room is bright and airy, with a table plenty big enough for two and plenty of seating, although the sofa was a bit low for me (that said it was OK for my wife),The television is on-line only with access to Netflix, Prime and You Tube (none of these require the visitor to have an appropriate account to watch. To watch ordinary TV it's a simple matter to hook up to Sky Go or similar via a laptop). The bathroom is large with a good powerful shower and plenty of hot water. The owner who runs the tea shop/café below is very friendly and helpful (and the breakfast there is good). Overall the cottage was comfortable, more to the point it is well located for exploring the area with the Severn Valley Railway, The Black Country Living Museum, Blists Hill Victorian village as well as many National Trust properties within easy travelling distance.
