Slatters Cottage was just as it is described. We stayed 3 nights & thoroughly enjoyed it. Very peaceful. Lovely town. We drove to Bath for a day trip which was very worthwhile!

We will recommend it to our friends! [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

Beautiful, tastefully decorated cottage, very clean and comfortable. There are lovely walks directly from the cottage and plenty of walks and pretty villages within an easy 10 mile radius. Finishing touches such as tea, milk and a lovely home made cake were very appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

This was our first holiday cottage stay (been cruising/travelling for 20+ years). The Cottage is an experience that we would happily repeat, everything one could want was supplied, and to an exceptional high standard. Even in January the cottage was warm and cosy, and with the log fire blazing life was great. The owners certainly care about their guests being very happy with everything.

This was our second visit to Slatters cottage, because we loved it so much the first time. It is a gorgeous cottage in the very heart of the Cotswolds. Perfectly located for all the villages we wanted to visit and a wonderful home to return to at the end of the day. We will be back!

My sisters and I were blessed to have found Slatters Cottage! We traveled thru out Great Britain for 3 weeks by car, and have to say that we wished we would have stayed longer than 5 nights at the cottage, It was our #1 favorite place, this most beautiful Enchanted Cottage! Everything about it was as if it was from a Storybook. Yes! there were times my sisters and I just wanted to stay put and not go anywhere else and enjoy the beauty of this cottage. Slatters Cottage offers everything anyone could possibly want. Specially comming from the USA, to find such a Gem. The surronding villages were beautiful and had very friendly people. We are looking forward to our next visit next year and most defenitly staying at the Slatters Cottage. Thank you Brian for sharing your treasure with us. Slatters Cottage is a picture perfect character cottage, and we had a lovely stay there. The owners caters for all needs and the village has many beautiful features. The cottage is in a unique and beautiful setting with friendly villagers.

You may not want to tear yourself away from the cottage, but if you do the Heart of England walk is only a hundred yards away, and the beautiful Bourton House Gardens are only 5 minutes walk from the cottage. Batsford Arboretum & Garden Centre and The Falconery are only another 5 minutes walk further on, but you might prefer to use the car as there is a long(ish) drive to get to them.

Moreton in the Marsh is only a 5 minute drive from the house and there you will find a lovely market (on Mondays), a good size supermarket and lots of lovely typical shops, restaurants and cafes to while away the hours.

You will not be disappointed. We will certainly return.

Cottage Review:

I recently spent six nights at Slatter’s Cottage in Bourton on the Hill with my parents. The cottage was wonderful, every thought has been given to what may be required during your stay and the Welcome Pack is detailed and explains how to operate/use all items in the cottage. The village itself was an ideal base for touring the Cotswold’s and I was able to run to and from Moreton in Marsh each morning for a bit of exercise. The neighbours were all very friendly and helpful and always ready for the chat. The local pub, the Horse and Groom was excellent and we ate there twice. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about their meals and made good wine suggestions. I would not hesitate to recommend Slatter’s Cottage to anyone visiting the Cotswold’s and hope one day I have the chance to return and stay there again.

Cottage Review:

This cottage was just what we wanted. It was ideally located, just a short distance away from the tourism but near enough to visit the Cotswold towns. We recharged our batteries and loved sitting in front of the fire with a glass of wine. Each room has been tastefully and sympathetically decorated in order not to distract you from the olde worlde charm of the cottage. Simply beautiful ....... we will be rebooking for the same time next year. Highly recommended! Just had a weekend stay at Slatters Cottage and it was truly blissful! The property is very well located and will not disappoint! There is a small garden area in the front of the cottage with a delightful stone table and bench. Once inside the cottage is full of old world charm and spotlessly clean. There is a wonderful warm feeling with excellent decoration. The main bedroom is most comfortable and the bathroom has a wonderful hot shower.Wonderful example of Cotswold charm.

Cottage Review:

Slatters Cottage is situated close to the pretty church in Bourton on the Hill and is a real Cotswolds gem. It is a delightful cottage which wraps its thick walls around you in the most cosy way as soon as you walk through the stable door. The cottage was spotless and tastefully decorated and much thought must have gone into the renovation. There was plenty of space in the lounge/dining area and the kitchen and utlity room were very well equipped. The bedrooms were lovely and the bed was really comfortable. The old beams, stonework and even the sloping floor were in keeping with the age of the cottage and although it was too warm to light the fire it looked very appealing. There is a sweet little garden at the front of the property and it was great the have a parking space right outside. The cottage is very central to visit the lovely places all around. We enjoyed a lovely week in this idyllic place and cannot wait to return.

This fabulous cottage has all mod cons, without in anyway detracting from the character and charm of a C16th building. It is comfortable, cosy and very well looked after. A fantastic base for visiting the Cotswolds. Our first time, but as with most other people - definitely not the last.

The cottage is charming situate in a peaceful village with all necessary facilities 5 minutes down the road by car, well-appointed, very comfortable and excellent location for touring the Cotswolds and beyond by car. The owners were willing to accommodate any requests and made a point of telephoning to ensure all was up to standard.

We have stayed on two occasions and Slatters Cottage is everything you seek when looking for a quintessential English cottage. Character and charm in abundance and perfectly located for all the wonderful Cotswolds villages in the locality.

We were snowed in for a few days and it was the best, cosiest space to be confined to! Relaxed, comfortable and highly recommended. [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]
