Description of the self catering
Sanderling Lodge in Tacumshane is a very well presented and modern is a very well presented and modern stone built barn that has been completely restored and features five bedrooms that can sleep up to 10 people. There are two sitting rooms at Sanderling Lodge including one with a multi fuel stove, both have plenty of seating on modern sofas and are well furnished with wooden flooring throughout. One of the real selling points of Sanderling Lodge in Tacumshane is the stunning kitchen complete with large breakfast bar by the island in the kitchen, complete with bright worktops and a country style kitchen with a Belfast sink all backed by large windows that offer panoramic views over the countryside. To the side of the kitchen is the dining area with large wooden table that seats 10 people. There is an annex to the property that also offers studio accommodation styled living areas with a double bed that has its own ensuite shower room and a kitchen and dining and sitting area that is an open plan style. The main house has a king size bedroom with an ensuite shower a ground floor double bedroom and a further 20 room and single bedroom with a trundle bed. | Cottage Review:
The photographs shown on various websites for this property present a pristine property, however, the actual state of Sanderling Lodge does not match the photographs. Black mold covers the bedroom walls. There is water damage on the ceilings and down the walls. Door frames are rotted. There is an overwhelming smell on mold in the house and water damage throughout. We requested alternate accommodations be made for us, however, the owner did not attempt to assist us and instead just denied there was any mold on the property even though I sent photographs to Sykes Cottages and the owner. |

Just returned from a n amazing family holiday at Sanderling Lodge. Great spacious and comfortable property in the most amazing location. Lucky to have the hosts Brian and Annabelle staying nearby. Nothing was a bother and they were welcoming and friendly. Easy access to Wexford Town for shopping. Amazing beaches al around the south east coast with one only 10 minutes walk away. Truly spoilt. The house is fantastic. Everything you would need for a large family gathering and very comfortable. Excellent WI-FI which is really important for everyone. There are another two holiday properties on the site which are also amazingly furnished throughout. Looking forward to returning next year |

I visited the house for a long weekend in August and wasn't disappointed.The accommodation is furnished to a very high standard and is set in a beautiful area with views over the the countryside.There are plenty of beaches for ooing walks with dogs and once you have built up that appetite there lots of place to feed and water yourself. All in all very relaxing great scenery and to cap it all only 10 mins for Rosslare we will definitely visit again |
