A stunning location, brilliantly managed, beautiful location. The peace and quiet, combined with fantastic views and real luxury in the lodges made this one of the best holidays we've ever had. We'll be back!

exelent accomodation fishing was poor we had chavs dogs running around swimming in the pond not enough pegs to fish if all lodeges are full of fisher men people having visitors staying over so even less room for fishing 9 pegs i think in total had to clear weed for my kids to fish with 3m whip my advise is try redhouse farm fishing holidays at north scarle linc if you dont want dogs swimming in the pong and cleanig other peoples dog mess up so kids can play on grass

We have had 6 great holidays here and the 7th is booked. Right from arrival at Woodpecker Lodge, in a beautiful setting ther is a welcoming homely feeling. The accomodation is really excellent and the welcome food package gets you off to a good start.

Your hosts (Tim and Katie) could not be more kind and helpful. The fishing is really good and we have never \"blanked\". Mirror, Common and Ghost Carp are plentiful with the odd cross with Koi. There are also Rudd, Bream, Tench and Perch all in great condition. There are plenty of nice walks with a good variety of wildlife to observe. There is a good play area for children to play, or you can just lay back and enjoy the beautiful rural setting

This was our first visit to Rural Roosts and we were not disappointed. Little Owl is where we stayed and i relaxed as soon as we landed. The lodge was superb, spacious, clean and well kitted out. Could have stayed for ever. Will return. [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

We stayed in Badger Lodge. Is superbly

built to a very high standard, and overlooks the large lake. The welcome pack provided is well thought through, bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, sugar and a home made Lemon Drizzle cake which went so quickly !! A nice place to relax, with the coastal resorts just an hour away if you really do want a day at the Fun Fair. All-in, a good relaxing place to spend a few days. We will be back !

The lodges at rural roosts are absolutely perfect. Clean, impressive, roomy, homely, with all essentials covered, i.e. Pristine clean towels. There is also a welcome pack waiting on arrival, including, fruit, tea, coffee, sugar, lemon drizzle cake (very nice!), bread, butter etc. Impressively the toilets are sanitized for protection! Bonus.

The location is perfect for fishing, walking, riding, exploring, picnics, bbqs, relaxing generally. Very peaceful. Also, for a bargain price you can order free range eggs and they are delivered in the morning for you! And they taste divine!

10 out of 10.

We came for a New years Eve break. With everyone dotted all around the country this made for a sensible meeting place for us all. Although a little off the beaten track ( no bad thing) it was easy enough to find. The reception on arrival was great. Cake and other essentials made for a relaxing welcome. Very clean, Spacious yet cosy feel to the cabins. We will definately return.

The return of Fishing 1 yet again we found the lodge to be excellent could not fault the welcome pack. The fishing this year was brilliant a total catch of 176 Ib of carp over 4 days + 3 roach. Dont be fooled by the size of the fish they put up a good fight and are in very good condition. I said to Tim has we left that we could retire here and relax all the time its so nice and peacefull. Watch out for the barn owl its beautiful in flight [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

It was a big birthday suprise that my wife bought me this year the return to Rural Roosts. Yet again top accomadation with a very nice welcome pack with yes(Lemon drizzle cake)The fishing was excellent with a total catch of 176lb of mixed carp the weather was brilliant making our holiday very good. The cottage (Woodpecker) was of high standered and Tim & Katie were very pleasnt friendly people. Watch out for wild life especially the Barn Owl and watch out for the big fish he sneaks up on you. The saying for fishermen is snoze you loose be warned. Once again T + K thank you

The pine lodge was really first class in every respect. The welcome pack was excellent, especially the lemon drizzle cake. Both Katie and Tim were very helpfull and friendly. My wife and I found it very relaxing and were suprised by how roomy it was in the lodge as well as very comfortable. I enjoyed the fishing in the well stocked lake. The points of interest mentioned on the Rural Roosts web site were well worth the visits. We would recommend this to anyone.

Booking was really easy and Katie is extremely polite and helpful regarding all aspects of your holiday. I can't find anything to fault. The free welcome pack is excellent, tea, coffee, milk, butter, bread and fruit, not to mention a wonderful lemon drizzel cake which alone would be worth the trip!

The lodge was clean and cosy, all linen etc was provided; you really didn't need to think of anything. We would recommend that each day you are there, you make an effort to be up for daybreak, around at sunset and a look at the stars at night - peaceful bliss is the only way to describe it. We will certainly return.

Beautiful location, we went to chill out and that is exactly what we did. The ambiance was peaceful and quiet - the lodge was superb comfy and cosy with just about everything you could think of in it, obviously a lot of thought had gone into the whole set-up. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves my husband fishing and myself painting and we will definately be back (which by the way is something we don't normally do - pastures new and all that).

excellent accomodation, everything you need for a holiday. Absolutely perfect for a nice relaxing time. The wind was howling when we were there but there was no noise inside the lodge and it was lovely and warm. Fishing was great as well from a pleasure fishing point of view. if it is specimen fish you are after then you might not think so. We will be back!

My Husband & I spent a really wonderful peaceful week at Rural Roosts, Katie and Tim the owners couldn't be more helpful, everything you needed right down to a lovely lemon cake waiting for you when you arrive, the lodges are very spacious and beautifully laid out fully equipped. The location is very handy for all the local attractions and if anybody is interested in aviation history all the airbases are close by that were used in the war, we visited the BBMF very interesting day out.

There is fishing right on your doorstep just walk out you door and you're there, all in all a truly magnificent place, if you are looking for a place that is peaceful and relaxing it's definitely for you.
