Description of the self catering property

Quiet Corner Farm is on the outskirts of Henstridge . At the end of its 200 yard drive with working apple orchards (juicing in autumn) and paddocks on either side grazed by sheep (lambs in spring) and miniature Shetland ponies (bred by the owner), which you are welcome to wander, is an attractive, single-storey, mid-18th cent. cottage. It nestles at the end of a large, enclosed lawn and adjoins the owners converted barn, close to the former farmhouse.

Quiet Corner Farm near Henstridge has a lovely suntrap garden (barbecue, table/chairs), shared with the owner. Home-produced eggs and prize-winning apple juice available.

The cottage has lots of character with beams, leaded windows and polished pine floors (rugs) throughout. Gravelled drive and yard to 2 shallow steps up to front door; hall, off which living (woodburner, TV/DVD, Edwardian sofa)/dining/kitchen (washer-drier, microwave) with high ceiling, overlooking the garden; bathroom (suite with corner bath with seat, shower over and hand-shower); two pretty, pink floral bedrooms (electric blankets, Velux windows) including a small single, and a double. Transport from/to train station (by arrangement). No children under 4. A peaceful, relaxing place with lots to see in the area, especially lovely Nat. Trust properties.
