| Cottage Review:
There's a big difference between olde world charm and absolute neglect. On arrival the first thing that greeted us was the front garden that hadn't received any TLC in quite some time. Weeds and dead plants and some empty milk bottles containing murky brown water. On entering the cottage it was very cold and uninviting. A torn packet of very ordinary biscuits was left on the table, not the lovely cake in the online pictures. The cottage itself was in dire need of maintenance, very tired and unloved. The carpet and furnishings were well worn and didn't look or feel clean. There was hair in the bath, cobwebs and mould throughout, dental picks in the washing machine and even crumbs on the sofa! All in all a very disappointing stay and nothing like the lovely online photos. The only positive is the location, very easy access to town. |
