Cottage Review:

This was our first visit to Norfolk and to Wells and the whole family had an excellent time. The cottage was just as described and we found it perfect for our requirements. It was very convenient for everything in Wells, and we had great weather for half of the week so made use of the garden which is a real sun trap. The property doesn't have its own parking, but we were aware of this before we booked and it wasn't a problem as we managed to get parked on the road outside just past the Lifeboat hotel. We hadn't appreciated just how busy Wells gets in the holidat season, but as the previous reviewer said, this place is tucked away so once back at the cottage we wouldn't have known. Well appointed, very clean and comfortable. We hope to return.

Make up of party:  Two adults and three children (4,5 and 9).

Cottage Review:

Wow - what a cottage. This was without doubt the most surprising little gem that we could have hoped for.

Firstly, it was a lot bigger than it looked on the pictures we received from Sowerbys. The lounge is a great size and then there is a separate dining room and a separate garden room. We ate breakfast every morning in the garden room in the sun with the doors open onto the garden.

Due to the house being set well back from the road, you can't hear any noise at all from the road or people which is great in Wells which gets really busy. More importantly it is perfectly located between the front (for the kids and big kids) and the Butlins for excellent pubs. (We particularly liked the Crown). Each are about 3 minutes' walk away and the shops are similar if not closer.

The garden is walled so keeps the wind out and somehow seems to capture the sun all day, even in March.

Two of the rooms are a great size, and then we went in the smallest middle room which is perfectly big enough for two, but not for much else.

The house was immaculately clean and must have been recently done up as everything is fairly modern but in keeping with it being a cottage.

All in all, this exceeded our expectations in every respect and we have booked to go the same weekend next year - can't wait.

Make up of party:  3 young (ish) couples, 1 couple with a young child.
