| Cottage Review:
What a perfect getaway - three of our neighbours were all having major work done on their homes opposite, there were roadworks at the bottom of the street, the noise was....argh! Being dog owners, we wanted a place where our Border Collie was welcome - and he was here, with two of the farm dogs also being BCs. It was the ideal location for a peaceful break (literally!) in comfortable, relaxing surroundings, in marvellous countryside, and with friendly hosts. The site also has a fishing lake, and the local NISA/CoOp store and petrol station is well-stocked. We were here for the walking, but there are pubs etc within a few minutes' drive, with Wirksworth and Matlock close-by. |
