Description of the holiday cottage
Overlinks is a detached house set adjacent to West Cornwall Golf Course and a short distance to the rolling sand dunes leading down to Porthkidney beach, a 1.5 mile stretch of golden sand estuary walks. Internally, the property has been completed to the highest standard, offering spacious accommodation including a conservatory/dining-room on first floor level, making the most of the amazing panoramic views. Externally, the well maintained gardens are the perfect place to relax, unwind and take in the stunning surrounding views. The pretty fishing village of St Ives is a short drive away. You can meander through the cobbled streets, relax in the many award winning restaurants or enjoy a cream tea whilst watching the fishing boats land their catch. For the more artistic among you, visit the Tate Gallery, Barbara Hepworth Museum, Bernard Leach Pottery as well as the many working galleries throughout the town. Beach lovers will not be disappointed – the beaches are wide, sandy and clean – and swimming in the clear blue sea is an endless pleasure, while the rock pools will keep children and adults entertained for hours. Make the most of your time spent in West Cornwall by exploring the surrounding area. Take a day trip to Lands End, the UK’s most westerly point, or visit the fairytale island which is home to St Michael’s Mount and accessed by foot along the causeway. For a truly unique experience take in a performance under the stars at the Minack Theatre, an open air theatre perched high on the rugged cliffs.
