Seconds from the beach in Portland, Neptune Cottage is a delightful terraced fisherman's cottage dating back 200 years but now fully refurbished and updated with new furniture, fixtures and fittings throughout. Located in the popular Chiswell area of Portland it is ideally located for water sports enthusiasts; the National Sailing Academy as well as diving and windsurfing facilities are nearby. The spectacular Chesil beach, which is dog friendly, stretches for miles and is literally behind the cottage, and can be accessed in seconds. As well as enjoying the sun and views on the beach, if you are a keen fisherman (or lady) you may try and catch your tea. Alternatively, you may partake of a meal and drink at the adjacent Cove Inn which has a terrace overlooking the beach or Quiddles, just along the esplanade which serves fresh seafood. Try a walk along the South West coastal path from here which in its entirety is 630 miles long. Returning to Neptune Cottage you have a variety of takeaways, pubs and restaurants including the acclaimed Blue Fish Cafe within a few minutes walk. Local shops are also conveniently located a five minute stroll away.
