Molehill Cottage, Molesworth Street, Tintagel, Cornwall Inc Scilly, PL34 0BZ

When arriving at the property the first thing that we saw was overgrown weeds, bits of rubbish on the floor, bird crap covering table and chairs. It took sometime to get the key from the lockbox, very tricky. Then going inside, we thought it looked clean BUT one of the beds was not made and there was not enough bedding to make the bed (bedding is supposed to be provided). There was no dishwasher and it was advertised that there was one, it had a fridge but no freezer compartment, which made keeping food on a self catering holiday very difficult. No towels in 2nd bedroom (towels were advertised as provided). There were no blinds in 2nd bedroom which meant the sun poured in and made the room unbearable to be in. In the downstairs bedroom they have overpacked the room with furniture, couldn?t open the wardrobe properly and continually banged my toes on the bed. Really disappointed and the property description did not match what we found. We emailed the booking company Sykes Cottages straight after arriving, the next day a lady turned up with 4 pillow cases, we asked her about the rest of the bedding and the towels and why it wasn?t done in the first place, she didn?t know! We went out for the day and when we returned there was a stack of bedding and towels on the chair in living room. I have not received any type of correspondence from the owners or the booking company in regards to this and I certainly haven?t received an apology. What was supposed to be a enjoyable, relaxing holiday which was much needed, was ruined by people who were happy to take our money but not provide what they were advertising. I see Sykes Cottages has taken the dishwasher off their Ad but it?s still everywhere else, substandard accommodation.
