... 2miles from Boscastle and mile of good private drive from the nearest lane, four good cottages converted from a Victorian stone barn amid the fields and woods where Thomas Hardy fell in love. We let three of them. It is on the side of the beautiful River Valency valley, within a 300 acre beef/cereal farm surrounding little St Juliot Church, restored by the young architect Hardy who married the rector's sister-in-law ('A Pair of Blue Eyes'). Footpath along the valley to Boscastle. The ownersfarmhouse is mile away. You are welcome to walk the farm (nature trails). Reservoir fishing and riding, 5 miles. Milkman calls.

Helpful Holidays provided a 'helpful' and efficient service, the location was stunning and the accommodation fully reflected its presentation in the brochure. |

Cottage Review:
We had a very happy stay at Cargurra Cottages and hope to return someday. It was a pity about the weather as would we like to have done more exploring, maybe next time. |

Cottage Review:
Well equiped cottage with excellent playroom. Availability of WiFi and internet access was extremely useful in helping to find things to do on a rainy day! |

Cottage Review:
Unforseen circumstances, last year, resulted in us having to cancel our holiday. Helpful Holidays were wonderfully supportive and we got a refund on the holiday. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Helpful Holidays for their support during this very difficult time. We booked with them again this year and have been able to go on holiday, where had a lovely time in very well appointed and clean accomadation. |

Cottage Review:
we where greated by a very helpful welcoming owner ,the cottage was clean and well equiped. It Was lovely to arrive to find a tray of tea and scones waiting for us. also all those silly little things like loo rolls, dish clothes and washing up liquid where all supplied which was a great help. the house was upside down which gave us the maximum benfits of a beutiful view. It also offered a well equiped games room for both adults and children which was great on a wet day |
