Description of the holiday cottage
… a mile from Millbrook and looking out to sea over Whitsand Bay, nestled with its neighbours on the cliffside at Tregonhawke, a neat detached chalet. Behind, gorse-clad cliffs shelter it and the good-sized, enclosed, sloping garden (mostly grass) with picnic bench, barbecue, trampoline (in summer), useful store for beach/surfing/fishing/diving gear, and raised decked area (bench) with lovely panoramic sea views towards Rame Head and along the coast. About 50 yards of gentle track (few steps) lead down from the parking area, ending in 5 shallow steps down through the garden. Inside, clever use of space and simple, stylish decor with wood floors/carpeted bedrooms. Open-plan living/dining room (woodburner, TV/DVD/Blu-ray, iPod dock, PlayStation 2), off which neat twin bedroom. Smart fitted kitchen (slimline dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, cooker with induction hob, small bench seating 2) leading to hall (space for coats/boots); double bedroom (5’ bed, TV/DVD); bathroom (suite, shower over bath); back door to garden and washing machine and tumble drier in shed. A lovely, relaxing retreat at any time of the year; footpath (steep in parts) from the door to café (50 yards) and beach (300 yards); access direct to Coast Path from pathway beside the chalet.Sleeps: 4
