Description of the holiday cottage
Carefully designed attractive split level cottage for four. Entrance is into the main living/dining area with comfortable seating. A single step leads to a fully equipped kitchen area. The large double bedroom is off the main sitting area and can provide room for a cot. On the first floor is a spacious twin bedded room with exposed beams and views over the garden area. The recently refurbished bathroom with exposed beams includes a bath with thermostatic shower, modern pedestal wash basin and WC. Magpie is ideal for a range of people: families, two couples enjoying a week away together or two people wishing to have the privacy of their own bedrooms. Magpie provides the cosiness of a small cottage with the flexibility of modern living. The open plan kitchen enables meals to be easily prepared in an informal atmosphere enabling the cook to be part of family activities.Best Features
We are no longer a farm (although we still have cattle grazing in our meadows in summer and sheep in the winter) and now provide a variety of self catering cottages set in a courtyard surrounded by spectacular views over open fields and the rolling Peak District countryside yet only two miles from Bakewell.
Large garden area with seating etc. Peaceful rural location. Leisure area (sauna, table tennis, pool table etc). Chatsworth & Haddon Hall nearby. 20 acres of grounds. Ample secure car parking. Well behaved pets welcome. Internet connection in all cottages.
