We arrived after a long hike from Drymen via Balmaha. We were absolutely shattered from the journey and found the cottage a huge relief. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Hot water for showers, good cooker, comfortable beds and wifi! Plenty of space even though there were 8 of us with big packs (hiking the West Highland way). Cooked a great dinner, slept like logs.

This would be a great place to come back and stay a few days or a week. We just had the night so didn't get to check out the hotel pub next door, but it looked great. The cottage is one of several set in a little development along Loch Lomond. There weren't gorgeous views from the cottage but it's really the kind of place you go to get out into the surrounding area -- which is amazing.

Our damage deposit was returned promptly and we had everything we needed. No complaints.

My boyfriend, dog and I spent 5 days in March at this lovely lodge. It's out of the way of the main roads and was perfect to relax away from everything. The lodge itself contains everything you could ever need and is about 150m from Loch Lomond shores. I would recommend this lodge to anyone who wants a nice relaxing break.

This lodge is fantastic! We absolutely loved it. The bedrooms were lovely and cosy and the living room very comfortable.

The only issue we had was that we didn't realise we had a boiler to ignite to get hot water (we're not used to gas)but found it the morning after we arrived.

We managed to get groceries delivered to the door which meant we didn't have to travel far for supplies. You would need to book that before your trip though as there is no wi-fi connection.

There was a power cut on our last night and the lady that looks after the lodge was quick to supply us with a lantern and candles. Great service!

We really hope to go back in the summer.

Spectacular views! Perfect location!

We had heard about Rowerdennan through friends who had stayed there previously. Lodge 3 has great views up to Ben Lomond (which was covered in snow over new year when we stayed - beautiful) and over the loch.

Fully equipped kitchen and flat screen tv. Ideal for cosy nights in when you have been out walking part of the West Highland Way, hiking up the Ben or wakeboarding on the Loch.

After getting drenched on our ramble round the loch, we dried off with a pint of Tennants beside the log fire in the Clansman Bar before a (very) short walk back to the lodge.

Only half an hour taxi from Milngavie train station, but it feels like you are in the wilderness.

Definitely going back in summer.
