Very disappointed, on arrival the cottage was still being cleaned and we had to sit in the car for 25mins, it should have been ready at 4pm but wasn?t. The cottage is very clean, well equipped and comfortable, but sadly the barking dogs from the breeders next door that were kept in the field at the back of the cottage over shadowed everything. They barked morning noon and night. On two occasions we got up to no heating and no hot water, we rang the number for help on the first occasion and a gentleman came round to sort it out, on the second occasion we en |

We had a fastastic holiday with our little jack russell in May at lovely 'Laurel Cottage'. The cottage is beautifully clean, nicely furnished and well equipped.We can highly recommend this cottage. It is in a good location to enjoy site seeing. We made our trip to visit our relatives who also enjoyed sitting in the lovely conservatory. We had all home comforts, in this spacious cottage, having a utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, the owner has thought of everything, even to the smallest detail. | Cottage Review:
Our first stay in Durham and we found the cottage was well equipped, clean and functional and of a high standard.Unfortunately parking and noise were a bit of a problem as driveway on a sharp slope and limited parking in front of property. Noise from main road made sleeping difficult and barking dogs at the back were a bit of a nuisance. |
