Description of the holiday cottage
A very comfortable, attractive and well fitted out first floor cottage with entrance on the same level overlooking the main gardens. The front door opens into a spacious lounge/dining area and new kitchen, with exposed beams and stonework. A hallway leads to a double bedroom with exposed beams, a twin bedroom and a large modern bathroom with exposed beams and bath with thermostatic shower, pedestal washbasin and WC. With its easy access to the guest gardens it is ideal for families or couples wishing to enjoy the grounds and watching the hens go about their daily lives. The outside seating area is popular for soaking up the afternoon sun and evening meals watching the sun go down. Lathkill is also ideal for couples preferring accommodation on one level Although it should be noted that there are steps up to the garden from the courtyard by which access to Lathkill is attained).Best Features
We are no longer a farm (although we still have cattle grazing in our meadows in summer and sheep in the winter) and now provide a variety of self catering cottages set in a courtyard surrounded by spectacular views over open fields and the rolling Peak District countryside yet only two miles from Bakewell.
Large garden area with seating etc. Peaceful rural location. Leisure area (sauna, table tennis, pool table etc). Chatsworth & Haddon Hall nearby. 20 acres of grounds. Ample secure car parking. Well behaved pets welcome. Internet connection in all cottages.
