Cottage Review:

Stayed here 6th September for a week what a great location very handy for Seahouses , Holy Island , Berwick on Tweed , lots of castles to see and a must visit to Cragside House NT.

It is close to Chathill railway station and crossing but not a problem.

The rooms are very spacious upstairs bedroom has its own bathroom across the hall with bath and very large walk in shower, similar the downstairs room has en suit facility.

A very nice gesture was the milk and a cake when we arrived.

Thanks to Mrs Russell.

Would recommend this holiday cottage.

We had a great week in this very comfortable cottage everything we could want was to hand, Mrs Russell even left us a home baked lemon drizzle cake, milk, tea, coffee etc., we had brought our own but it was all there if needed. The cottage was right next to the railway crossing but we soon got used and didn't really notice the frequent trains whizzing past.

The coast was just a short drive away and we visited all of the little towns and villages and Lindisfarne (Holy Island) even ventured up to Berwick-upon-Tweed. Sight seeing and beaches make this a great

The owners were very welcoming, friendly and approachable.Kitchen well kitted out with utensils etc.

It was kind of 'home from home'. Good to have a supply of leaflets about the area as it was totally new to us. Especially helpful was the information sheet listing the various churches with contact numbers so we could contact someone to find out if it was the kind of Church we would enjoy.(and we succeeded!)

It was a quiet place in the country so there weren't any local amenities but it was just right for us. Lots of castles to visit and the boat trip to the
