Cottage Review:

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in this lovely cosy cottage. Everything was great, very clean and perfect for a couple. Was always nice and warm, and the heating was very efficient. We particularly loved the bedroom, which was really cosy, with an excellent shower, and a very comfortable bed.

Parking is not an allocated space as such but is off road and shared with the neighbouring cottage but we never had a problem getting a space. Perfect location, just a few minutes walk into Howarth and exactly opposite the park which was lovely for a walk in the evening.

We did half the walk to the Bronte waterfall which starts from the church in Howarth but unfortunately didn't make it right to the waterfall due to the inclement weather. Also the distance advertised is certainly not accurate, it was a lot further than we anticipated, not being "real walkers". Best to park at Penistone Hill Country Park and do the walk from there. Had a lovely lunch one day at the Fleece Inn in Howarth Main Street, which was great food and service.

One day we drove into Hebden Bridge, 8 miles away which we thought was a lovely place, plenty going on, lots of coffee shops and a lovely walk along the river.

Would certainly recommend this cottage, thanks for the lovely little extras, that made our stay extra special. Would love to return in the future.
