We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay here after struggling to find the disabled facilities which my husband requires but also accepts our two pet terriers. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble with good advice given.

Make up of party:  We are a couple and took along our friend and neighbour to help with my husbands care and generally be company for us both.

This was a return trip to hoe grange as we went last year and were so impressed. I took my mother who celebrated her 84 birthday whilst we were there this year. My mother hadn't been away from home for about 10 years and was dubious last year. I admit to being quietly concerned how she would find things, but everything she could have wanted was there and Felicity and David were such great hosts. She enjoyed it so much she was more than happy to return this year, which was such a pleasure. to my amazement, David convinced her to try the new Boma7 (described as an off road wheelchair, but oh so much more fun) and before I knew it, she was off up the fields onto the trail. Not bad for a dubious 84 year old with mobility issues!!. She says she would definately recommend it to anyone. so if you stay, make sure ou give it a go! my brother was suppose to visit and maybe stay one night, but he was so impressed he ended up staying two nights, I think it would have been more if he hadn't had to return to work. He is now hoping to rent a cabin very soon.

The place is lovely, everything you want is at hand, hosts are brilliant and couldn't fault anything. Surrounding areas are beautiful and you can go out exploring or stay and enjoy the delightful peace and quiet. Watching the animals is so relaxing and enjoyable.

Can't recommend the place enough, especially for anyone with mobility and disability needs.

Hoe Grange provides truly accessible accommodation and really is dog friendly. It is a rarity to find a holiday destination which properly satisfies both these requirements. My family spent a week at Hipley and Pinder to celebrate my parents Diamond Wedding anniversary and having two cottages so close, both of which are accessible and dog friendly was perfect for our needs.

The owners enthusiasm for renewable energy and recycling is inspiring.

Thank you Felicty and David for providing facilites which enabled our family to be together at this special time.

We stayed in Daisybank and to be honest we could not have asked for a better cabin, everything and I do mean everything had been provided. The cabin is ideal for any family member with a disability from profile bed to very large and well thought out on suite wet room. The whole lay out of the cabin is accessible and that’s a great bonus. Also the cabin is light and bright which is another plus point for visitors that are sight impaired.

Dave and Felicity are two of the most caring hosts we have had the pleasure to meet, we arrived in a snow blizzard and had to be towed the last half mile by Dave's son with the tractor, this was an experience we will never forget. We arrived at the cabin to be greeted and shown around by Felicity the cabin was very warm and comfortable. We were very impressed with all the facilities and all the little extras was like having icing on the cake, from organic shampoo, bubble bath and soap, fresh towels and even toys for any children that visit, to the home made bread, and biscuit, tea, coffee, sugar. Also there were loads of local information leaflets and info about the cabin and the farm which I really appreciated.

We stayed the week in extreme weather conditions and to be honest we were snowed in, but that did not mater because Dave and Felicity came every morning to check we were ok and then even took me to the nearby town to do some shopping because they had a four wheeled drive car that could actually get over the snow drifts. Even though we could not get out to drive anywhere we had a great holiday and my parents who have disabilities loved the cabin so much my Dad wants one at home to live in because it was so nice.

All I can say is try it you will love it and we will be going for a return visit as soon as possible.

We stayed in Rainster 2 bedroom cabin which was wonderfully clean and cosy. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable, and it was very peaceful, so we all slept well. The jacuzzi bath was a real treat and the wet room shower was great. Our boys had a fantastic time on the farm and very much enjoyed feeding the animals. We had a lovely view, overlooking the horses. We were visiting family in the area, who very much enjoyed visiting us!! We would definitely recommend and will certainly return.

This was our 4 th visit .we have been at all times of the year including Christmas. I am paraplegic and need the full range of facilities Hoe Grange provides. They are generous hospitable and kind.

It has been a real find and we could not be happier to come back as often as we can. I feel safe and comfortable which is rare and difficult to find so we would recommend Hoe Grange to anyone with or without difficulties. It is in a beautiful setting and near a fabulous range of activities for all ages and interests. The personal touches make all the difference.

We had an excellent holiday at Hoe Grange Holidays in the superb accommodation provided in RAINSTER cabin. The well equipped Lounge, Dining and Kitchen area provided is a delightful living space. The Wet Room suits everybody's needs, especially the disabled. The additional Bathrom is just right for general family use.

The farm has an excellent ECO policy, including solar power and a ground source heating system. There are wide open spaces with wonderful views and many animals to see as well as all the activities of a working farm. Plenty of information is provided, suggesting local places to visit or where to eat.

As an older couple with one of us having very poor mobility, we found everything most satisfactory as we have on our previous two visits. [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

Had a wonderful weeks stay at Hoe Grange. David and Felicity are perfect hosts and the accomodation is the best we\'ve ever stayed in - warm, cosy and a real home from home ( but better!). Loved the welcome goodies - bread, biscuits eggs etc and the location was perfect for walking and easy access to Ashbourne, Tissington etc.The cabin was so well equipped we were short of nothing and we even had our own eco toiletries - my hair has never felt so pampered!! Cannot praise the cabins highly enough - book and see for yourself!

Fantastic accomodation to a very high standard. The owners have put a lot of care and attention to detail in the cabin. There was fresh bread, home made biscuits and fresh flowers waiting for us on our arrival. Even the table was set and laid ready for us,we were made to feel so welcome. The beds were really comfortable and the whirlpool bath was gorgeous, there were even beautiful toiletries to sample, like bath soak, shower gel and shampoo, which were lovely. The accomodation is ideal for disabled holiday makers, with an excellent wet room facility and extra equipment like a shower chair, for example, that can be loaned on request.(I can vouch for the accessibility of this property, as I work in the profession of Occupational Therapy) No attention to detail has been missed, fantastic!

THIS WAS A RETURN VISIT TO HOE GRANGE AFTER AN EARLIER STAY IN 2008. IT IS SITUATED IN A BEAUTIFULL & MOST PEACEFULL LOCATION BUT ALSO WITHIN SHORT DRIVING DISTANCES OF LOCAL AMENITES & PLACES OF INTEREST. THE SAME PARTY OF 4 STAYED IN THE SAME CABIN AS BEFORE - HIPLEY - WHICH SLEEPS UP TO 6 PEOPLE. I AM QUADRIPLEGIC SO REQUIRE THE HIGHER LEVEL OF FACILITIES FOR THE DISABLED & ALL THESE NEEDS ARE MET AT HOE GRANGE IE A MOBILE HOIST (YOU JUST NEED TO TAKE YOUR OWN SLINGS), A GOOD WHEELCHAIR TYPE SHOWER CHAIR & WHEEL IN SHOWER, A PROFILE BED SO THAT YOU CAN SIT UP IN BED IF YOU WISH & THE BED CAN BE PUT ON BLOCKS TO ADD TO THE HEIGHT TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR THE PERSON ASSISTING. THE CABIN IS VERY WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE AS IS THE DECKED VERANDER WITH GREAT VIEWS TO ENJOY FROM BOTH INSIDE & OUTSIDE THE CABIN. THE AREA AROUND THE CABINS IS TARMACED SO IS ALSO SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS ALTHOUGH YOU CAN PARK RIGHT OUTSIDE YOUR CABIN SO IT IS HANDY FOR EMBARKING & DISEMBARKING FROM YOUR VEHICLE. EVERYTHING YOU WOULD NEED IS PROVIDED FOR WHETHER YOU ARE DISABLED OR ABLE BODIED & ALL TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD. HOE GRANGE IS HAPPY TO ALLOW ASSISTANCE DOGS IN HIPLEY SO I WAS ABLE TO TAKE MY DOG ALONG WITH ME SO THAT SHE TOO COULD ENJOY A HOLIDAY AS WELL AS MY FRIENDS & I. THE OWNERS, FELICITY & DAVID ARE EXTREMELY WELCOMING & HELPFULL WHICH MAKES HOE GRANGE A REAL HOME FROM HOME. I THOROUGHLY RECCOMMEND HOE GRANGE, WITHOUT ANY HESITATION, TO ALL WHEELCHAIR USERS OR ANYONE WITH DISABILITIES & THEIR FRIENDS & FAMILIES.

Make up of party:  FOUR FRIENDS (ONE DISABLED) ALL FEMALE ALONG WITH AN ASSISTANCE DOG - ALSO FEMALE!

Absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway, Very tranquil with beautiful scenery. The cabin was warm, cosy, extremely clean and had everything you need whether staying one night or two weeks. A really nice touch was the home made bread which was gorgeous. What I particularly liked was all the cleaniing products including shampoo, conditioner and bubble bath was all natural (no chemicals) and there was re-cycling bins for everything. No expense has been spared and you really do feel as though you have had a great break.

I would certainly return and would recommend anyone wanting a fab holiday to consider Hoe-Grange.

Thank you Felicity and David, you were the perfect hosts.

As a carer for a disabled lady I found Hipley cabin absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail was amazing. It really was more than a home from home. Even the chair was just the right height. The wet room was perfect and the electric bed made life much more comfortable. The views were wonderful with eye contact with the sheep on opening the curtains in the mornings! I have no hesitation in recommending Hoe Grange to anyone Whether they able bodied or disabled. It really is a perfect holiday home.
