Description of the holiday cottage

Higher Tumrose holiday cottage in Blisland is a quarter of a mile from the centre of Blisland in Cornwall. Higher Tumrose is a charming, sunny single-storey cottage and, 50 yards from it, an extremely good single-storey house. They are up 300 yards of private tree-lined, primrose-banked lane, separated by the well-kept lawn-garden of the owners beautiful 16th century farmhouse of a 65 acre mixed farm (sheep, cows/calves, horses). You are welcome on the farm. Behind rises a tor (fine views). Foxes, badgers and buzzards about. A grand place for walkers, birdwatchers or peace-seekers - very close to the open moor (nearby gate to it) but in soft, wooded countryside.

Higher Tumrose is a single storey detached house, well designed and full of character with big rooms and comfortable furniture including antiques, good pictures and superb long views. Low, shallow steps down to own terrace/patio (table/chairs), good-sized lawn divided from fields by ha-ha; all very secluded. Inside: hall; elegant living room with woodburner (logs included), TV/DVD, French windows to balcony (superb views), and glazed double doors to big, comfortable, parquet-floored sun room with tremendous views. Depth-of-house, well-equipped fitted kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, fridge-freezer); dining table overlooking the terrace and garden. Four bedrooms including the large, light, master double (5' wide x 6'7" long bed, TV) with another wonderful - and in bed - view via big bay window (window seat), and en suite bathroom (suite, shower over bath); two twin (one with beds zip-linked to make 6' double); and a single (2'6" bed); bathroom (suite with separate shower).

Cottage Review:   This cottage is wonderful beautiful location near to moor and village we loved it the 10 steps up to the front door could be a problem but there are others ways to get in so it didn?t bother us and I have arthritis in knees the rooms are huge beds really comfortable kitchen is well equipped and lounge big and very comfortable wood burner is very welcome after a cold and wet winter walk owners very friendly a bonus for me was being able to walk my two dogs across the field in front of cottage thankyou we would love to return sometime

Cottage Review:   Lovely house in a lovely location, 5 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs comfortably accommodated. This house is perfect if you want to stay somewhere out of the way of the main ?touristy? areas, very well equipped and characterful. The rooms are comfortable and cosy, it could do with a better shower in the en-suite as it isn?t great and would benefit from a good dusting in the corners but overall it?s clean and tidy. Good parking for two cars and a fairly secure garden for dogs. Lots of information provided for local eateries and attractions on arrival. We h
