Description of the cottage holiday
As its name suggests, Hayloft Cottage was formerly the farm's hay and silage store. The cottage has now been transformed offering holiday accommodation with the kitchen, lounge and dining area providing south facing views of the surrounding countryside. The lounge area benefits from a large arched picture window and a full height gallery. The cottage sleeps 4 with a mezzanine double room and one ground floor twin room. The bathroom is on the ground floor and is equipped with bath, shower, sink and WC and has a heated towel rail. The Hayloft has been designed with, and is ideal for, wheelchair access with only the second mezzanine bedroom at first floor level. Heating is provided by an ECO friendly ground source heat pump system which supplies the underfloor heating system throughout. Guests often comment on the warmth of the slate floors. A wood burning stove provides the visual, cosy feel although we doubt you will need the extra warmth! (logs supplied).Best Features
Standing in an acre of ground, the cottage enjoys uninterrupted, 360 degree views of the Peak District National Park. You are welcome to wander around the garden or, if you are feeling more energetic,the cottages are adjacent to a network of footpaths which take you to Flagg, Taddington, Chelmorton, Monyash, Sheldon and beyond to Ashford in the Water and Bakewell.
The cottage is at the end of our private lane where parking is off-road and plentiful. It is surrounded by Derbyshire stone walls.
