Gilcar Farm, in Emley near Huddersfield, has three holiday cottages packed with character. They have been converted from disused farm buildings into luxurious holiday accommodation, with two of the properties designed with access for wheelchair users in mind. The cottages are located in a tranquil setting on a working dairy farm, but are within easy travelling distance of the shops and museums of Leeds, and attractions such as the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and National Mining Museum.Best Features
The Six Mistle, which is set around a courtyard, was previously a milking parlour. It now has four double bedrooms, a large open-plan lounge/dining area with a wood burning stove and a stylish kitchen with a range cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
It has been fitted out for disabled access and has widened doors, along with a ground floor bedroom that has space for a portable hoist and an en suite wet room complete with a Doc-M pack.
