Description of the self catering
Set in a beautiful countryside location, Farm Cottage near Porthleven in West Cornwall is a superb club and stone built traditional Cornish cottage with all of the character and features that you would expect from a beautiful old holiday home set in a relaxing and countryside location. Complete with a wood burner in the living area as well as a Rayburn in the kitchen, this is a cosy and comfortable cottage that has been tastefully finished and retains the character of the old building. Set with plenty of outdoor space, there is a large lawned area making this ideal for a family with children that need space to unwind. Inside the cottage, complete with exposed stone brickwork, inglenook's and beams, this really is a character cottage that you could fall in love with. The downstairs living spaces open plan with a pretty sitting area complete with sofas, modern TV and a wood burner. Behind is the modern fitted kitchen with an electric oven and hob as well as the Rayburn, washing machine, fridge and freezer. Additional modern facilities include Wi-Fi, DVD and a flatscreen TV with free view. There are three bedrooms at Farm Cottage near Porthleven including a double bedroom, a twin bedroom with a zip and link bed that can be converted to a king-size bed and an additional single bed room. The family bathroom is on the ground floor and has a bath, WC and wash hand basin. | Cottage Review:
A very warm welcome pack, nice touch with vases of flowers. The cottage was most tastefully decorated & had everything we needed. We felt so relaxed and really enjoyed watching the 3 black rabbits who hopped in and out of the garden. A really nice simple but very effective touch- was that of the plug in night light- handy in a strange house at night. We always received a warm welcome from the farm dog each day when we returned 'home'. Most helpful host- Rachael, who very kindly offered to help when our son became ill during our stay. We may need to return |
