| Cottage Review:
This is a really comfortable, well furnished and well equipped property on the outskirts of Alnwick. It is part of a barn conversion set around a courtyard with similar properties. The kitchen is well equipped and the little 'cleaning pack' containing dishwasher tablets and washing up items is good as is the tea and coffee pack. The living room has comfortable settees and a big smart TV plus books and videos. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, a large double with plenty of storage space and a very small single. The bathroom is great with quality fittings and the towels are really soft! The only negative is the garden. We were happy that we had a garden as we looked forward to sitting there for breakfast and in the evening but unfortunately the property is really close to the A1 and the volume of noise from the passing traffic made this impossible. The garden is also really untidy and needs attention, a fast growing hedge of, for example, Cherry Laurel would help to cut down on the traffic noise. |
