| Cottage Review:
Lovely well equipped cottage. Log burner in the lounge with first set of logs included. Plenty of seating if you are in a party of 4. TV has Netflix. Kitchen has plenty of space with a good array of pans/trays/utensils. There were even ice cubes in the freezer! Upstairs we only used 1 bedroom but both were spacious with plenty of storage. The double bed was soo comfortable as were the pillows. There was also a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the property. The bathroom was large with a bath and separate roomy shower cubicle. It was windy/wet on our visit but the cottage was quick to warm up and retained the heat really well. You can park on the small patio area at the front, but the owner has an arrangement with the (currently closed) pub opposite to park in their carpark which I chose to do. The owners live in the village and kindly popped by with some cakes/scones from a local bakery on the Saturday afternoon. They were gratefully received after our walk that day. Beautiful area. Very friendly local people. We hope to have another break later in the year and would definitely return and recommend to others. |
