Description of the holiday cottage

Crystal Bay is a two bedroom holiday apartment in St Ives, Cornwall, sleeping up to four guests. Set within the Peninsula Apartments above Porthminster Beach, it is a smart coastal stay for couples, friends or a small family looking for sea views, secure parking and easy access to St Ives town centre, beaches and coastal walks.

The apartment has a super king size bedroom with Smart TV, balcony access and en suite shower room. The second bedroom is usually arranged as twin beds, but can be made into a super king size on request if arranged in advance. There is also a family bathroom with bath and shower over, giving guests two bathroom spaces during the stay.

The open plan living space is one of the main reasons to consider Crystal Bay. The kitchen, dining area and sitting area are arranged to make the most of the elevated views across St Ives Bay, Porthminster Beach and towards Godrevy Lighthouse. Practical features include WiFi, three Smart TVs, Sky Stream with Entertainment and Sports in the lounge, washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer, books, games, bed linen and towels.

The balcony is a standout feature, with outdoor furniture and wide views across the beach and bay. It is a useful place for morning coffee, evening drinks or simply watching the sea after a day out in St Ives. The apartment also has allocated parking for one car in a secure parking area adjacent to the development, although the ceiling height is approximately 1.9 metres, so guests with taller vehicles should check this before booking.

The location is one of the strongest reasons to consider Crystal Bay. Porthminster Beach is approximately 0.2 miles away, the pub is approximately 0.1 miles away and the shop is approximately 0.3 miles away. St Ives Harbour, Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Museum, Porthmeor Beach, coastal paths, galleries, cafés, seafood restaurants and independent shops are all within reach.

Guests also receive complimentary spa passes for two people at HarSPA at The Harbour Hotel, with access currently listed as valid until 13 December 2026 and reviewed annually by the owner. Guests should contact the spa before arrival to check availability, treatment discounts and food discounts, as access arrangements can change.

Crystal Bay does not accept pets and smoking is not permitted. A good housekeeping bond may apply.
