Cottage Review:

I would not recommend staying at Corner Cottage property! My family and I all agreed that we had never stayed in such a grubby and run-down house and we couldn't actually believe people would pay to stay there. We didn't bother unpacking our suitcases as the whole house smelt musty and there was mould in all the upstairs rooms. The beds and pillows should be thrown out, and the curtains ought to be washed! It didn't seem like the kitchen/dining floor had been mopped for a while, and every morning after bathing our kids the night before, their feet were black before we left to go out the next morning. The place would benefit from renovations, a lick of paint would not really improve the quality of the house due to the ceiling falling down in upstairs bedroom and longstanding mould. If your standards of cleanliness are not that high, then you'll have a great time here. The views and location were great, we could walk to the beach and local pub, and the owners were friendly enough. Oh, and although we paid for it, the wifi didn't work for most of the week

Cottage Review:

This is a classic case of "pays your money and takes ya choice". The cottage has a mountain of space, and so will fit a party of upteen, no problem. The issue is that the property needs a top to bottom refurb, which needs to be more then a coat of paint. The cottage was clean, but everything else after that is a step into the past. We found the lack of modern, up to date facilities frustrating. The garden is the driveway to the owners house, and that too, was frustrating as the enclosed garden, was at times, quite open. The dog, therefore had to remain watched. We paid £50 electricity for one week in September [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

We have had holidays in Corner Cottage annually since 2008 and love it. It is very well appointed with lovely views and easy off the road parking. Always spotlessly clean and comfortable. Our children love the house and dogs are also welcome. It has a convenient porch around the kitchen back door for storing all our beach paraphernalia . It is an ideal family holiday house. Wifi has been installed to our families delight. [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

Cottage Review:

We, a party of eight adults, have just had a most enjoyable week in Corner Cottage to celebrate a family birthday. We particularly appreciated its location in the centre of the village, close to the well stocked store/PO and within six minutes walk of the beach and hostelries, the ample parking (4/5 cars), the wonderful sea and rural views and the BBQ on the patio.

Despite our large party there was ample room for ten of us to sit around the large dining room table and plenty of glasses, wine and otherwise, cutlery and crockery and an efficient Bosch dishwasher.

The property could do with a bit of a facelift internally but we understand that this may be in hand. Once done this will be very much a five star property but for the present we grade it 3+ stars. The owners, Toni and John, were very welcoming hosts and we much look forward to returning next June."

Cottage Review:

I just wanted to use this site to warn other holidaymakers not to book this cottage. In thirty years of self catering, we've never come across a place like it - it was so awful, we had to cut our holiday short and come home early. Everything was very dirty, old and neglected - we didn't unpack any of our things, but just camped out in the two rooms which were habitable. Even so, by the fourth morning we couldn't stand the depressing atmosphere of the place any longer,so we left.

On their website the owners claim that it is suitable for wheelchair use, but it absolutely isn't.
