Carvannel Cottages, North Cliffs, Portreath, Cornwall Inc Scilly, TR14 0HQ

Description of the holiday cottage

Carvannel Cottages is a three bedroom holiday cottage at North Cliffs near Portreath, Cornwall, sleeping up to five guests. Set close to the north Cornwall coast, it is a practical choice for families, couples, friends or dog owners looking for a self catering stay with an enclosed garden, hot tub and easy access to beaches, coastal walks and days out around West Cornwall.

The cottage has a double bedroom, a bunk bedroom and a single bedroom, giving the layout a family friendly feel. There is one bathroom with bath and shower over, so groups should check the bathroom arrangement before booking to make sure it suits their stay. The living areas include a kitchen, dining room, utility and sitting room with a woodburning stove, giving guests separate spaces for cooking, meals and relaxing after beach trips or walks along the coast.

Useful features include WiFi, Smart TV, electric central heating, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, bed linen, towels, travel cot and highchair. There is also off road parking for two cars, which is helpful for guests planning to explore Cornwall by car.

The enclosed garden is one of the main reasons to consider Carvannel Cottages. It has a lawned area, gravelled space, outdoor furniture, barbecue and private hot tub, giving guests somewhere to relax between days out. Two well behaved dogs are welcome, although pets are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture, so dog owners should check the latest rules before booking.

The location is well placed for the north Cornwall coast. Portreath is approximately 1 mile away for the beach, harbour, cafés, pubs and access to the South West Coast Path. Basset’s Cove, Carvannel Downs, Tehidy Country Park, Gwithian, Godrevy, St Agnes, Hayle and St Ives are also useful places to know about during a stay. This part of Cornwall works well for beach days, surfing, walking, wildlife watching and coastal scenery.

Carvannel Cottages does not allow smoking. Before arranging a stay, it is worth checking the latest prices, availability, dog rules, hot tub details, parking arrangements, good housekeeping bond, review scores and booking terms through the cottage provider, as these can change throughout the year.

Cottage Review:

My daughter myself and two dogs stayed recently in the cottage and all I can say is that it was beautiful cozy and welcoming, the hosts had left us milk biscuits tea coffee and prosecco along with some beautiful flowers, the hot tub was on ready for our arrival and was amazing, Jack delivered logs for the fire and was very helpful with tips on where to walk the dogs he also allowed us to use the path at the back of the farm to walk up to the cliffs which was beautiful even though it was very windy it was a safe comfortable walk, the shops weren't too far away either oh and I almost forgot the most amazing gelato icecream that was left for us in the freezer from their farm shop which was delicious a big thankyou to them for such a lovely holiday I have reccommended the cottage to friends also
