Description of the holiday cottage
Cairn Cottage in Kingsand, 100 yards from the beach, a large Grade II listed, part 18th cent. house flanked by its neighbours, a lovely comfy home with thick knobbly walls, exposed beams and 21st cent. comforts. At the back, a sheltered suntrap courtyard (table/chairs, netball net, splendid Wendy house) on two levels. Entrance door 2 steps up from lane. Two living rooms with oak floors, one with big inglenook (woodburner) and TV/DVD. Big kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, gas double oven, extending table) at the back (no blinds, not overlooked); ground-floor shower-room (suite, washing machine). Steep spiral stairs up to four bedrooms including a double with TV, another double, a double with access to one side of bed only, and a room with three singles (truckle); bathroom (suite plus hand-shower and separate shower). More stairs immediately up into a huge family bedroom under the eaves with low 5' double bed, single bed and en suite bathroom (suite). Three stairgates available.Loading/unloading outside; car park, 30 yards. Catering available. A big welcoming house with plenty of space for everyone in a stunningly pretty village.Sleeps: 12
