Bridge Cottage in Burton Bradstock is ideally located for the 10 minute walk to Hive Beach and the wonderful scenic locations nearby. The holiday home sits within a complex of around 8 other permanent/holiday homes to both sides, above and behind, it?s a very unique layout. It is a period building and the decor, carpets, settee, historical photographs reflects this. The facilities on the whole were good, especially in the kitchen, with a Large Country style range cooker and Smeg Fridge/Freezer. The rooms are comfortable as was the main bed and we slept well. The internal layout is also unique with twin bedroom off the open plan living / kitchen room, a rear large sunroom glass conservatory with access to the single large bathroom and main bedroom leading to the small slabbed yard. The owners have cleverly fitted extra light windows where they could, again unique. For any necessary grass required for a trained dog there is a park literally one minute walk away. The parking is clearly marked within the front parking area directly outside the accommodation and during our week everyone was ?sensible? in using the 6 marked bays, if you?re an experienced driver it shouldn?t be an issue. A real positive within the complex was everyone we met who actually lives there was really pleasant, helpful and good to talk to. In fact the only noise came from the rental property directly behind this one and they were only there 2 nights. The interior photographs of the property represent the property well. The overriding positive factor is the location as the village is beautiful and the TWO pubs are fantastic, The 3 Horseshoes is 30 seconds away and serves great food, The ANCHOR INN is one minute walk away and serves SUPERB FOOD. The HIVE Beach restaurant is also great food in an amazing location on the beach. Virtually all the places were dog friendly. The unheard of 28? sun ALL WEEK in September was amazing. G&J and our extremely well behaved Cockapoo loved the beaches.

We had the most relaxing and comfortable stay here with our dog. We felt so at home and found everything we needed right on our doorstep. We could walk to either of the village pubs within a couple of minutes. The dog walks were also right on the doorstep and were absolutely beautiful. Sofas and bed were all really comfortable and I would highly recommend Bridge Cottage. We certainly hope to return!
