Description of the self catering property
This first floor apartment offers extremely pleasant accommodation close to the centre of Bamburgh. Situated above a small bistro, it is furnished and equipped to an excellent standard, with distant views of Holy Island, and provides a comfortable holiday base in this highly sought after location. Bamburgh has a splendid castle situated on a rocky outcrop overlooking the village and the sea.Best Features

| Cottage Review:
This is the second short break we have enjoyed at Blacketts Apt. You need to be aware there are three sets of stairs to climb before reaching your door. There are two bedrooms, each has twin beds. All rooms are cozy and warm. The apartment is over a lovely Bistro which we didn't mind at all as it is a quiet little place and appears to close by 11.30pm at weekends. Weekdays are very quiet. Don't be out off by the Bistro underneath. The appartment is in a lovely location, clean and comfortable with free parking at the rear - a BIG bonus for Bamburgh at high season! We parked up for the night and walked to the Castle Hotel (2 mins away) this has a lovely beer garden and the food really is excellent. Around the appartment are enough eating places to suit all tastes. The beach and rocks are about 10 mins walk away. A short 5 min car ride takes you to Seahouses - shops, eating places and boat trips. In all this apartment, although not the stunning views some may have, is a lovely base for exploring Nortumberland or even staying local. |
