| Cottage Review:
Felixstowe Ferry is a delightful place and Bala Cottage has unrivalled views across the Deben estuary to the North Sea. We have stayed there a total of eight times, but sadly this year will be our last due to a very bad experience with the owner and the agent Suffolk Cottage Holidays. In the coldest Easter on record the central heating ran out of fuel. It being Easter weekend we had to wait five days for a delivery. Plug-in radiators took the chill off the air but kept blowing the fuses. We had to choose between being warm or cooking!The owner did not come near us or keep us up to date on developments and the agents shrugged off all responsibility and passed it on to the owner. We made the best of it, but expected a reasonable refund for a spoilt holiday. A refund has been refused. If you plan to book a cottage through Suffolk Cottage Holidays you will probably get somewhere lovely, but don't expect any help or a refund if things go wrong. |
