| Cottage Review:
From the moment we arrived back of beyond was a great experience. As the name suggests it is a good few miles from the nearest town of any size (st Ives) but the road is pretty good so there is no difficulty getting there. All the amenities are at the cottage including a great aga oven which was a new experience for us. It is an easy 5 min walk to the stunning coastline at gunnards head and only a few miles round to lands end. The cottage was immaculately clean with a great set of books and games. Only about 100m away is an upmarket pub (gunnards head hotel) with its fine dining restaurant - worth booking. A little further afield is Zennor which has a more traditional pub and pub food. The area around Zennor is amazing with the cliff top walks being the star attraction but there are some ancient villages if that?s your thing (it was ours). All in al, a lovely stay and is definitely recommended for the normal holiday season but would be great in the winter months as well. |
