Description of the cottage holiday
A wonderful romantic retreat designed with couples in mind- our one bedroomed apartment lies on the third floor of a magnificent 18th century cotton mill which has been lovingly converted to provide 5 star self catering accommodation. Light, bright and incredibly spacious, the apartment has a welcoming entrance hall, well equipped kitchen diner (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer etc), a lounge with 2 tapestry style sofas and television, an elegant bedroom with rich damask linens over the kingsized bed, and a bathroom with over bath shower. Accessed from the original stone spiral staircase the approach to the apartment wonderfully evokes the mills industrial past yet the accommodation that lies within is clean, contemporary and comfortable. A unique rural retreat and ideally placed to take in some of Yorkshire's most interesting and historic places; Haworth, Saltaire, York and The Dales are all just a short car journey away.Best Features
Set within 11 acres of ancient bluebell woods, along the edge of a lively, trout filled beck, our accommodation is a haven of peace and tranquillity.
A myriad of paths weave through the estate taking you from the impressive 18 arch viaduct at one end of the valley to the 30ft waterfall at Goitstock at the other - the walks really do start from your doorstep.
Polished wooden window seats offer a perfect place to take in the fabulous views over reflective millponds, ancient woodlands and glorious gardens.
Elegant yet beautifully understated, the apartment perfectly combines luxury with uncompromising comfort.
