| Cottage Review:
Not the best first impression. Arrived after the arrival time stated after a long journey - the cleaner was still in the house. We were obliged to leave and returned a few hours later - tired and on a rainy day this was the last thing we needed. Not the cleaners fault but the owners were contacted and gave a luke warm response. I would have liked some form of apology in the way of an extra hour at the end of the holiday but nothing was offered. The bedrooms are not as described. It was advertised as four doubles. Instead there are two doubles, a twin room and a single room. This had a pull out for a child at best. This needs to be advertised correctly. Kitchen is dated and there was white mould on one cabinet making it unusable. Luckily there were other cupboards to use. It was well equipped. A coffee machine was provided but no coffee capsules despite the instructions left. So pointless. Taps leaked. With a new kitchen the price mark may have been justified. The black wheelie bin was full on arrival so made removing rubbish a chore. The beds we found comfortable the showers were good. Would we stay again? No purely because of the owners lack of understanding to our terrible arrival. |
