This charming stone built cottage, the end in a row of 3, is situated in a peaceful location in the heart of the unspoilt North Northumbrian countryside. There are stunning uninterrupted views to the east across undulating farmland towards the Kyloe Hills. The cottage takes its name from Saint Aidan who established the great Christian Priory of Lindisfarne. Accommodation all on one level 3 steps up to front door. Large, bright and airy lounge with open fire and French doors to outdoor decked area. Large kitchen/diner with wood burning stove in inglenook fireplace. Spacious double bedroom. Twin bedded room. Bathroom with bath, separate power shower and WC. Oak flooring throughout.Best Features
The village of Chatton, 3 miles, has a shop, post office and pub serving good food and real ales. There are numerous castles to explore in the area including Chillingham, renowned for being the most haunted castle in England and for its unique wild, white cattle. Nearby Holy Island is the end point of the popular St. Cuthbert's Way long distance footpath, which passes close by the cottage.
