Description of the holiday cottage
33 Marinus Apartments is in an enviable location overlooking Cowes harbour and out to sea and is within walking distance of Cowes town centre.33 Marinus Apartments is situated on the third floor. The apartment is well equipped and furnished to a high standard. Externally, the balcony can be accessed from the living area and boasts spectacular views over the marina.The Marinus Apartments are ideally located for sailing enthusiasts. Cowes has been seen as a home for international yacht racing since the founding of the Royal Yacht Squadron in 1815. The town gives its name to the world's oldest regular regatta, Cowes Week, which occurs annually in the first week of August. Later on in the summer, powerboat races are held.Famed for its sailing events, yachtsmen from across the world make Cowes their Mecca. But it remains a small town with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The pedestrianised high street is full of interesting boutiques, art galleries, shops and a selection of restaurants and pubs.

| Cottage Review:
Home from home. We had a 4 night stay in this one bedroom, spacious, 3rd floor apartment, it was comfortable, airy and clean, with fantastic views of the Medina river from the lounge and private balcony. We saw the Red Funnel ferries, and boats of every type and size on the river, a fascinating vista! The apartment offered all home comforts, a real home from home. The dedicated parking a few steps from the door to the secure access lobby complete with lift was very reassuring. It’s a short walk to the vibrant centre of Cowes with it’s many independent shops, there are a Marks Spencer and Waitrose food stores close by also. The apartment is ideally located for all island trips. This was a great find, we shall return! |
